Chamber music up close and personal!
As part of the Austro-Hungarian empire, Bohemia was at the crossroads of Europe. While heavily influenced by the Germanic realm, it was linguistically and culturally connected to the Slavic Realm. Its classical composers were heavily rooted in Germantic Romantic music and yet their music was steeped in the folk culture of Bohemia. This upcoming program will feature three of the great composers of the region: Antonin Dvorak, Bohuslav Martinu and Bedrich Smetana. There will be three performances of this program by Genie Wie, Steve Huber, Chad Kaltinger, Michael Graham and Bill Everett.
Join us on 6/13, Thursday at 7:30pm for a performance at All Saints Episcopal Church in San Leandro. And for the 3pm 6/15 & 6/16 afternoon performances in Fremont and Marina, delicious wines and cheeses will accompany the music. Come join us for an up-close and personal chamber music experience!
